A guest might easily forget he is in a converted Victorian in a London suburb when visiting this home located in the exclusive Castelnau section of Barnes. Rather few Victorians were built to include an indoor pool (with access via thumbprint recognition), a game room and a cinema viewing lounge. The home's seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, five reception rooms and large garden are completely set apart from other Victorians by its Crestron-controlled home automation system. It's almost spooky how this Crestron Integration Award-winning home, perched on the edge of the Highgate Cemetery in London, blends with its natural surroundings. The home may have some "interesting" neighbors, but the home's AV integration system is what's really eye-opening. The home incorporates seamless, intuitive controls of the elaborate home theater, the multi-room audio system and the lighting and security control functions. Still, the real highlight the retractable home's pitched roof on the second floor that slides open for a view of the city below that's simply to die for.

Chalet Megeve

After a full day mastering the slopes of majestic Mont Blanc located at the foot of the in the Italian-French Alps, most people might barely be able to lift a finger. And that's all this couple, owners of the Mont Blanc's Chalet Megeve, has to do to control this mountain chalet's many impressive automated features. The homeowners can quickly and easily control audio system and temperature settings in the sauna. Three guest bedrooms feature HD screens and iPod docking stations and there's a large plasma screen tucked away behind a retractable painting of the chalet in the main viewing area - the perfect way to unwind.

With Crestron controls guiding his telescope, an eager astronomy aficionado can view an interstellar showcase of heavenly sights - literally putting the universe at his fingertips. Over 300 celestial bodies have been programmed at such precise calibrations that they required 30 steps each and over 500 hours to program. Crestron automation also allows him to open the dome's motorized hatch, reduce the exterior lighting and even take a photograph or display an object on any screen in the home. For this astronomer, Crestron is a real "star" performer.

The $12 million, 11,000 square foot Mediterranean-style home features the creation of celebrated architects and celebrity interior designers.
