Simple Browser-Based Configuration Meets DM NVX® AV-over-IP Technology
Today, organizations want to make technology in meeting spaces “disappear,” while also making it feel responsive to the user. In every space. Consistently. And without costly signal routing and tedious setup. Now, you can.

Crestron’s browser-based application enables you to easily deploy simple, scalable enterprise room solutions in real-time, without any programming or complex configuration. Simply put, if you can go to a webpage, you can configure entire Crestron room systems and deploy across campus -all from your browser.

.AV Framework supports all of the Crestron hardware necessary for most conference rooms and higher-education spaces. It also supports non-Crestron devices via Crestron Certified Drivers, for fully integrated solutions. There are more than 4,000 device drivers in our portal, from displays and projectors, to media players, and more.

DM NVX meets .AV Framework
Since it was introduced in 2014, .AV Framework has continually grown with new features and enhancements. One key capability that we’ve added is support for Crestron DM NVX® AV-over-IP technology.

There’s no question that when it comes to AV-over-IP solutions, Crestron is the market leader and the company everyone compares their technology against. When we added support for the DM NXV product line to .AV Framework, it brought an incredibly powerful and flexible video switching solution to an application that provides simple, browser-based configuration. This was certainly a peanut butter meets jelly moment for Crestron.

DM NVX products bring an unprecedented level of power and flexibility to audio-visual routing in the .AV Framework application. But it’s not always about the hardware. The application brings simple, browser-based configuration, while still maintaining a no programming required environment. All of the native DM NVX features, such as local switching, volume control, digital I/O, RS-232, and IR control are fully supported. USB switching is also supported, which gives you the ability to share peripherals, such as soundbars and webcams, to hybrid workplaces. With support for up to eight displays and 10 content sources, .AV Framework with DM NVX can handle any space, from small huddle rooms to large collaborative open spaces.

As easy as 1-2-3
It requires with very little effort to add and configure a DM NVX based system in .AV Framework .

Step 2: Configure your DM NVX transmitters and receivers

Step 3: Configure your routing (including preferred ranking), user interface labels, and icons

Let’s look at some common system diagrams

Common conferencing space
In this example, we have a laptop at a conference table, and a room PC with Crestron AirMedia® wireless presentation technology in another location. The DM NVX transmitter at the table allows a local keyboard and mouse to control the room PC, while still allowing video to be sent to the displays. Although not shown, the conference table DM NVX transmitter supports multiple inputs, which facilitates another table laptop connection, if required.

Higher education
In this example, we have a lectern laptop with a local confidence monitor and a room PC in another location. The DM NVX transmitter at the lectern allows a local keyboard and mouse to control the room PC, while still allowing laptop video to be sent to the displays. Although not shown, the lectern DM NVX transmitter supports multiple inputs, which facilitates another table laptop connection, if required.

Peripheral
In this example, we have a laptop at a conference table and a room PC in another location. The room PC is enabled for touch interaction and is connected to the touch-enabled display at the front of the room. Although not shown, the conference table DM NVX transmitter supports multiple inputs, which facilitates another table laptop connection, if required.

Wrapping up
Adopting a Crestron AV-over-IP solution for your workplace brings unparalleled power and expansion capabilities. When you combine that with our web-based, no programming required browser based configuration, it ensures your systems can be easily set-up, deployed, and  grow as the needs of your spaces change.
