Last year Crestron rolled out an awards program to mark a milestone: shipping one million DM NVX® AV-over-IP technology units. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive — so much so that we’ve expanded the program to include projects that leverage the full spectrum of Crestron commercial solutions.
“When Crestron and our network of loyal dealers put our minds and efforts together, we make incredible things,” says Andy Bennett, Commercial SVP at Crestron. “This is a great opportunity for us to celebrate our dealers’ best work in a variety of verticals.”
And with that, we’re proud to announce a call for entries in the Crestron Commercial Technology Awards. For an entry to qualify, the project must have been completed in North America between January 1, 2024, and April 31, 2025. We’ll honor projects in the following six categories, several of which focus on a specific family or type of Crestron products:
- Best Collaboration Experience — Recognizing excellence in creating natural, effective collaboration environments through unified communications and intelligent video platforms.
- Best Space Management Solution — Honoring exceptional deployments that enhance the management, maintenance, and sustainability of building operations.
- Best Control System Design — Celebrating the most advanced and efficient control systems, ensuring seamless operations and user experience.
- Best Content Application — Recognizing the most innovative and engaging content creation and delivery, transforming viewing experiences.
- Best Hospitality Project — Celebrating the integration of technology to elevate guest experiences, service efficiency, and personalized offerings.
- Best Innovation in Smart Spaces — Honoring projects that combine content, collaboration, and control to create the ultimate smart venue experience.
A panel of judges drawn from those with expertise in both Crestron technology and installations in general will determine the honorees. A win makes your project eligible for a Crestron case study, too: “Case studies are featured on the crestron.com website, Crestron social media channels, sent to relevant journalists, and shared by Crestron salespeople worldwide,” says Bennett. The entry period starts April 1, 2025, at 12:00 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and ends May 9, 2025, at 11:59 P.M. EDT.
The online submission form will walk entrants through the process, and thorough and thoughtful info is key. Photos are also a must: Judges will need photos in PNG or JPEG format, a minimum file size of 3MB, and a minimum resolution of 300 DPI / 5x8”, along with photo credits. While hiring a pro never hurts, smartphone images are certainly acceptable.
Video is immensely helpful as well. Videos must be in MPG or AVI formats (with a minimum resolution of 1080 to a maximum of 4K) and a maximum length of five minutes and uploaded to the awards site—Crestron can’t accept links for this aspect of the entry. (If you have questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us at content@crestron.com.)
Crestron integrators can enter as many projects as they wish to be considered in the categories listed below. A single submission may be eligible for multiple categories — just make sure your submission copy outlines why your projects fit each category you’ve chosen.
Each judge will separately score each entry from 0-10 (10 being the highest) based on a combination of the information provided in the online entry form and the supporting photos and videos for each of the following categories:
- Overall quality of entry submission
- Did the solution solve the challenge?
- End user satisfaction (in the end user’s own words)
- Uniqueness
- Visual score (Review of imagery and videos)
The top-scoring entry in each award category will be deemed the winner for that award category. Any tying entries will be deemed co-winners. We’ll announce the winners at the InfoComm® 2025 trade show.
“These awards really represent the collaborative effort between Crestron and our network of dealers and integrators,” says Bennett. “We really want to honor the amazing projects that we have built together over the past year — and inspire our dealers by sharing the success others have had.”
