Over the last decade, Crestron has committed to developing a relationship with an iconic chip manufacturer. Crestron understood that such a partnership had the potential to reshape the business, the company and the industry. When Crestron unveiled
DM NVX™ endpoints, the world’s first 1Gb AV-over-IP solution with uncompromising video quality, our constituents didn’t realize this advancement was a direct result of our co-development efforts with Intel.
A year after launching DM NVX, this partnership would result in a free firmware upgrade (via Crestron XiO cloud™ service, of course) that changed the way the Intel FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) processed still images–delivering an image that was “as good as the source.” A digital media solution with this level of quality, that’s compatible with the networks you’ve got, supports every format in the world, DM NVX wouldn’t be possible without Intel.
As other long standing partners like Microsoft asked Crestron to expand its UC offering, we once again turned to Intel. Intel’s Skull Canyon platform provided the horsepower required to deliver flawless audio and video for the most demanding cloud applications of today and tomorrow.
Recently Intel highlighted our partnership. Sometimes partners do a better job of telling the story than we do. Check it out at:
