RAVA

SIP Intercom & Phone Technology

Enables hands-free voice intercom, video intercom, telephone, and paging using Crestron® touch screens and other compatible devices.

Rava® SIP Intercom & Phone Technology[1] is built into many Crestron® touch screens and mobile apps, enabling hands-free intercom, video intercom, telephone, and paging. It works over Ethernet, eliminating the need for any special wiring or switchers.

Rava does two things. First, it allows Rava devices to communicate with each other peer-to-peer. Just place two or more Rava devices on the same network and they are instantly set up to intercom point-to-point with each other. No other wiring or special central routing devices are required. In addition to intercom, Rava peer-to-peer also supports zone paging, allowing the user to easily call out to multiple rooms.

Second, it allows Rava-to-SIP VoIP, bridging a SIP system with a Rava-enabled device. Take any SIP VoIP phone system and use the existing Ethernet connection to enable intercom and paging with Rava devices. Cisco®, Mitel®, Panasonic®, 3CX® and other SIP compliant systems integrate easily with Rava devices.

Rava-enabled touch screens are pre-configured to work with other Rava devices on the network for quick and easy configuration. Most include built-in echo cancellation, affording full-duplex performance for clear, seamless voice communication. Consult the specifications for each device to determine its full capabilities.

Through its third-party manufacturer partnerships, Crestron is able to offer additional solutions for integrating with door stations and analog intercom systems. Two exciting third-party solutions include the Annuncicom 200-RAVA from Barix®, and VIO by Holovision. Both solutions enable an array of possibilities, affording seamless peer-to-peer Rava integration without requiring a SIP server.
